Williamstown has named its inaugural VFLW Grand Final team, with the Seagulls set to take on two-time reigning premiers North Melbourne-Werribee in the 2026 VFLW Grand Final this Sunday, September 20.

The historic contest will take place at IKON Park from 11am, with the Seagulls entering their first VFLW Grand Final following a remarkable home-and-away campaign.
Williamstown finished the season as minor premiers, recording 14 wins from 16 games to secure top spot and earn their place in the finals series.
Now, the Seagulls have named the side that will represent the club on the biggest stage.
Leading the way is vice-captain and Lambert-Pearce Medallist Emily Eaves, who has been named to play after being crowned the 2026 VFLW Best and Fairest.
She will be joined by fellow major award winner Mia Zielinski, who claimed the Rohenna Young Medal as the VFLW’s leading goalkicker after finishing the home-and-away season with 32 goals.
The Seagulls’ remarkable individual season is further reflected in the inclusion of all five Williamstown players named among the 2026 VFLW Team of the Year, with Laura Blue, Georgia Howes, Naomi Ferres, Emily Eaves and Mia Zielinski all selected.
Captain Eliza Straford will lead the historic side into the Grand Final, alongside Ellie McLinden, Zoe Day, Gaby De Angelis, Krystal Russell, Dalia Edward, Jazmin Tweddle-O’Donnell, Ellen Williams, Bella Smith, Taelah Smith, Neve Crowley, Megan Williamson, Lilu Hung and Teagan Brett.
Western Jets stars Addison West and Kiara Boyd have also been named, joining the side after making their VFLW debuts for Williamstown earlier this season.
After overcoming Port Melbourne in a hard-fought Preliminary Final at DSV Stadium, the Seagulls now face their biggest challenge of the season against North Melbourne-Werribee.
With history already made, Williamstown will enter Sunday’s Grand Final determined to finish the job and bring the VFLW premiership cup home to the blue and gold.
