Since arriving from the Western Jets in 2014, Greiser has embodied everything it means to be a part of Williamstown.
Now with 150+ VFL senior games, his legacy has been built on loyalty, consistency, and an unwavering commitment to the jumper.
A mainstay across half-back in guernsey number 18, Greiser’s experienced ball use, calm decision making and leadership continue to set the benchmark.
His impact has been formally recognised in recent seasons, earning Life Membership in 2023, before claiming the 2024 Club 1864 Award, and the Peter McIntyre Memorial Trophy (VFL Best and Fairest) runner-up finish, underlining his standing among the competition’s elite.
Finals football has been a constant throughout Greiser’s career but the ultimate reward remains just out of reach.
While the Seagulls’ 2025 campaign ended in finals week one against Casey, Greiser’s form never wavered.
He featured in 19 matches throughout 2025, averaging 23 disposals, 19 kicks and seven marks, and delivered one of the performances of the season in Round 19 against Collingwood, piling on 38 disposals in a dominant display.
CEO Paul Northey said Greiser’s return is a massive boost for the group heading into 2026.
“Jake brings experience, passion, and leadership every single week,” Northey said.
“His standards drive our football program, and his commitment to this club speaks for itself. We’re thrilled to have him back.”
With unfinished business, relentless drive and the hunger to go one step further, Jake Greiser isn’t done yet, and neither are the Seagulls as they build towards a big 2026 season.
