Senior Coach Justin Plapp has made no changes to his 23 ahead of Saturday afternoon’s interstate clash, with Williamstown set to face Brisbane at Brighton Homes Arena.

The Seagulls will again be without Cameron Polson and Liam Conway, who have been key outs in recent weeks. Polson has had an additional week added to his hamstring recovery timeline, while Conway sustained a shoulder injury playing local footy last weekend.

In light of early-season injuries, midfielders Mitch Cox and Nick Ebinger will retain their spots after strong showings since both coming back into the side in Round 8. Cox led Williamstown’s disposal count in Round 9 against Carlton, while Ebinger has hit the scoreboard in each of his past two outings.

The Round 11 blockbuster follows a 26-point home win over Geelong last Sunday, with the Seagulls now eyeing a spot in the top eight after stringing together four straight victories.

Plapp is expecting a fierce contest against a familiar rival.

“They’re a bit of an enemy for us — we owe them a couple,” Plapp said.

“It’s going to be a really big game for our club. Going up there is one of the toughest road trips you can get, but I’m looking forward to it.”

The last time the two sides met was in the 2024 semi-final, where Brisbane ended Williamstown’s season for the second year in a row, sending them home to Melbourne with a 17-point defeat.
