Williamstown will unveil new recruit Josh Hamilton in the blue and gold for the first time as the Seagulls continue their 2026 preparations, with the versatile midfielder-defender set to make his club debut following his pre-season arrival.
Hamilton joins Williamstown after a strong 2025 campaign with the Northern Bullants, where he featured in 17 matches and averaged 19 disposals per game. His standout performance came in Round 9 against Coburg, collecting 30 disposals and 21 kicks in a dominant display that highlighted his ability to impact both in midfield and defensive phases.
A former North Melbourne Football Club VFL program player and Vic Metro Under-16 representative, Hamilton has steadily progressed through the ranks since his junior football days, building a reputation for his versatility, composure, and work rate.
Williamstown looks forward to seeing Hamilton take the field for our side this Saturday.
Williamstown has also provided an update on its early-season injury list, with several players managing setbacks following a disrupted pre-season and the opening rounds of the year.
A number of players are currently sidelined with minor injuries sustained across pre-season and Rounds 1 and 2, with the majority expected to return to play within the next three weeks as they progress through controlled reintegration into full training.
Unfortunately, Aiden Bonar will miss a significant portion of the first half of the season after sustaining a calf injury last weekend. The Club will take a cautious approach to his recovery to ensure a full return to fitness.
Meanwhile, Jai Hobson has sustained a mid-foot injury, with the Club currently assessing recovery timeframes. Further updates will be provided once a clearer rehabilitation plan is established following medical consultation.
