VFL Team Selection: Williamstown ready for final home-and-away test

August 14, 2026

By Mietta Williams, Williamstown Media

The Seagulls have named their side for Round 21, with Williamstown set to host Frankston in the final home-and-away game of the 2026 VFL season at DSV Stadium.

Saturday also marks the club’s final double-header of the year, with our VFLW side taking on reigning premiers North Melbourne Werribee from 9.35am, before the VFL clash begins at 12.05pm.

We are excited to congratulate Vice-Captain Toby Triffett on reaching the incredible milestone of 100 VFL games this weekend. After 26 games with the Brisbane Lions, Triffett has gone on to play 73 games for Williamstown, booting 27 goals in the blue and gold.

Adding to the milestone week, Triffett has also put pen to paper to remain at Williamstown for the 2027 season.

Williamstown has also been boosted by the return of Tom Fullarton, who comes back into the side after missing the past 13 matches with injury.

Fullarton has been sidelined since the Round 7 clash against Richmond and has made a strong impact whenever he has featured this season, averaging one goal per game in the blue and gold. His return provides an important additional target and aerial presence for the Seagulls’ forward line heading into a crucial final-round contest.

The Seagulls will be looking to complete the season sweep over Frankston after the two sides produced a thriller in Round 1 at Kinetic Stadium, where Williamstown held on for a two-point victory.

With the home-and-away season coming to a close, the Seagulls will be aiming to finish strongly in front of the Williamstown faithful.

Supporters are encouraged to get down to DSV Stadium early, get around our VFLW side from 9.35am, and enjoy one last full day of blue and gold football for 2026.
