Williamstown has once again made four changes to its VFLW line-up for this Sunday’s Round 4 clash against Port Melbourne, with two debutants headlining the selections.

Included in the changes for the 5th vs 4th ladder battle are Camryn Bux and Melina Ciavarella, taking the number of debutants in 2025 to 10 across just four rounds.

19-year-old Bux, a product of Essendon Doutta Stars in the EDFL, joins the side with Ciavarella, a former GWV Rebel, who has featured in three matches this year for Williamstown CYMS in the VAFA.

Ciavarella crossed to the CYs from the Preston Bullants following the 2024 season and now gets her VFLW opportunity against an unchanged Port Melbourne outfit.

Also returning to the line-up are leader Zoe Day and versatile utility Brittney Gray, both regular features in 2024. Day is set for her first appearance of the season after recovering from finger surgery in the late pre-season, while Gray comes off the injury list after being sidelined since Round 1.

The quartet replaces Claire Lightfoot (injured), Amelia Marino, Izzy Khoury (injured), and Robyn Randell. Randell will line up for her local club this weekend, while first-year Seagull Khoury will miss 4–5 weeks after sustaining an ankle injury in Round 3.

With key names including captain Eliza Straford, Chloe Bain, Phoebe Chisholm, and Danica Pedersen still sidelined, Senior Coach Liam Cavanagh continues to test the depth of his squad, with nearly 30 players having featured so far this season.

Charlie Sette and Krystall Russell have been named as emergencies for the first time in 2025.

The Round 4 clash marks Williamstown’s second home game of the season, with the Seagulls set to take on arch-rivals Port Melbourne at 2.05pm on Sunday at DSV Stadium.
