After two consecutive weekends on the road, the Seagulls return to DSV Stadium this Sunday as our VFLW side begins a crucial final stretch of the home-and-away season.
Williamstown will host Essendon at 10.35am in the opening game of a VFL and VFLW double header, with the Seagulls looking to make the most of the first of three remaining home games before finals.
The clash will be the second meeting between the two sides this season. When the teams met earlier in the year at Windy Hill, Williamstown produced a dominant 69-16 victory, and the Seagulls will be aiming to repeat that performance as they continue their push for a top-two finish.
Currently sitting third on the VFLW ladder, Williamstown remains firmly in the race for a double chance heading into the final rounds of the season.
The Seagulls will also be returning home with momentum after getting back on the winners list last weekend with a victory over Sandringham.
The win also marked a memorable milestone for Ellie McLinden, who celebrated the first victory of her Williamstown career after making her long-awaited club debut the week prior against Carlton.
Another significant moment came with Dalia Edward making her first appearance in the blue and gold. Edward made an immediate impact with 10 disposals, eight kicks and three marks, and has been named to go again this Sunday.
Supporters are encouraged to get to DSV Stadium early and help create a strong home atmosphere as Williamstown’s women begin their final home stretch against Essendon before the VFL side takes on Coburg later in the afternoon.
