Williamstown returns to DSV Stadium this Saturday morning to open a huge double header, with the VFLW side taking on the Western Bulldogs at 10:05am before the VFL clash later in the afternoon.
The Seagulls have enjoyed a superb start to the 2026 campaign, winning six of their opening seven matches to firmly establish themselves among the competition’s frontrunners. Saturday presents another important challenge as they take on a Bulldogs outfit sitting just two places behind them on the ladder with a 4-2 record.
Williamstown receives an exciting boost at selection, with Georgia Smith set to make her club debut in the blue and gold.
A former Australian Rugby Sevens representative, Smith joined the Seagulls ahead of the 2026 season after an impressive transition to Australian rules football. Following 11 QAFLW appearances and representative honours for South Queensland in 2024, Smith brings elite athleticism, leadership and explosive run through the midfield.
The Seagulls will also welcome back Sharnie Whiting for her first appearance of the 2026 season.
One of Williamstown’s most consistent performers, Whiting once again showcased her versatility throughout 2025, spending significant time across half-back while still finishing as the Club’s leading goalkicker for the second consecutive season with 13 majors.
With both sides eyeing valuable premiership points as the season approaches its second half, supporters can expect a fierce contest between two finals contenders.
The action gets underway at DSV Stadium from 10:05am, with supporters encouraged to arrive early and get behind the Seagulls before a full day of football against the Bulldogs.
