As confirmed following Wednesday night’s training session, Izzy Khoury will return to the Gulls’ line-up after recovering from the ankle injury she sustained in Round 3 – marking just her third appearance in the blue and gold.
Saturday morning’s clash will be Khoury’s 46th VFLW game, following previous terms with Carlton (28 games) and Box Hill (14 games). It’s been six weeks since her last outing for Williamstown.
Also named in the team are two players who have impressed across Season 2025 so far – ruck Krystal Russell and ruck/forward Neve Crowley.
Russell has averaged 30.5 hitouts and 5 tackles from her two games in blue and gold, while Crowley leads the team in marks with an average of 3.2 per game across five appearances.
Not listed in Friday morning’s injury report but confirmed as managed is Cat O’Bryan, while Brittney Gray and Melina Ciavarella have been omitted. Gray has been named as one of five emergencies.
Following a strong home win in Round 7, Williamstown will be aiming to notch up a fourth consecutive victory.
Their opponents, Casey, enter the contest off the back of a 40-point defeat to Carlton – their seventh loss of the season.
With the league bye behind us, it’s shaping up to be an exciting return to action as we hit the road for Casey Fields.
