The semi gets underway at 12:05pm at Arden Street Oval, with the winner advancing to a preliminary final against the loser of Saturday’s second semi-final between Collingwood and Box Hill.
For Sunday’s loser, the season comes to an end.
The line-up features several 2025 Seagull debutants, including 19-year-old Camryn Bux, who only made her first appearance at VFLW level this season.
It also includes leaders Jemima Wrigley, Eloise Freeman, Gaby De Angelis, Megan Williamson, and Zoe Day, alongside the Captain and Vice-Captain pairing of Eliza Straford and Emily Eaves.
North Melbourne-Werribee enters the contest in unfamiliar territory. Many were surprised to see the Kangaroos fall at the first hurdle, going down to Collingwood in last week’s qualifying final.
It means the reigning premiers will now need to win three successive finals to defend their 2024 crown.
The Roos boast several of the competition’s stat leader, but Williamstown has made play difficult for them this year.
Star North Melbourne forward Nyakoat Dojiok has managed just two goals across her two outings against the Seagulls, while midfielder Alana Barba registered her lowest disposal tally of the season in their Round 2 meeting.
The two sides also share finals history.
In last year’s second semi-final, the Roos ended Williamstown’s minor premiership run with an 18-point win at DSV Stadium, the result remaining fresh in the Seagulls’ memory as they look to turn the tables this time around.
Williamstown’s 2024 Best and Fairest winner Emily Eaves hit the scoreboard in both meetings with the Kangaroos in the 2025 home-and-away season and Seagull supporters will be hoping she has some left up her sleeve for Sunday.
Eaves’ battle with Barba looms as one of the match-ups of the day.
Meanwhile, Ash Thorneycroft will look to back up her career-best 21-tackle effort against Sandringham, with her pressure around the contest crucial to keeping the Roos at bay.
Williamstown’s VFLW side is yet to achieve back-to-back finals victories, but the opening week of finals reminded everyone that anything is possible.
To progress, the Seagulls must topple the reigning premiers on their home deck – a daunting task, but one they will embrace.
It promises to be a massive day for the Williamstown Football Club, with the VFLW clash followed by the VFL team’s own knockout battle against Richmond at DSV Stadium at 2:05pm.
It all starts at midday at Arden Street Oval, with 21 VFLW Seagulls giving their all for another week of football.
