Williamstown Football Club Facility Upgrade Project

February 7, 2025

The Williamstown Football Club is excited to announce that redevelopment works have officially commenced at DSV Stadium.

The project, which is scheduled for completion in April 2025, will deliver brand new female friendly facilities and a full upgrade to the Club change rooms and football services. The upgrade will ensure Williamstown Football Club caters for the diverse range of participants who call our Club home, along with supporting the local community specifically through female friendly and first-class facilities.

This $2.2 million project has been made possible thanks to the significant contributions from the Victorian Government, the Australian Government, and AFL Victoria.

The Club would like to extend their gratitude to the Minister for Health Infrastructure, Minister for Ports and Freight, and Minister for Roads and Road Safety, the Hon Melissa Horne and the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and Member for Gellibrand, the Hon Tim Watts MP for their support in securing over $1.5 million in funding towards the project.

“This project is incredibly important for the Williamstown Football Club and our local community, and it wouldn’t have been achievable without the support of our local Members at both State and Federal levels,” said Williamstown Football Club CEO Ashley Baker.

“Melissa and Tim work tirelessly to support our community and deliver on initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes. Both Members are great supporters of the Williamstown Football Club, and I thank them for their ongoing commitment.”

The redevelopment, managed by PDG Corporation and ABLE Melbourne, will feature new and improved office spaces, change rooms and female friendly facilities, warm-up and conditioning spaces, kitchen facilities, medical rooms, and gender-neutral bathrooms.

A special thanks is owed to Anthony Giuliano, founder of ABLE Melbourne and a past Williamstown player.

The modern and functional upgrades will benefit not only the Williamstown Football Club but also visiting football clubs and the Williamstown Cricket Club, who will have exclusive access to the facilities during their season.

The Williamstown Football Club looks forward to welcoming players, staff, and supporters into the refurbished DSV Stadium for the 2025 season.
