The Williamstown Football Club is deeply saddened to advise of the recent passing on the Sunday before last (July 12) of esteemed life member, June Wilson.

Williamstown produced one of its most memorable finishes of the season, storming home from two goals down with less than a minute remaining to secure a thrilling six-point victory over Tasmania in the first-ever meeting between the two clubs at DSV Stadium.

Williamstown extended its winning streak to seven games, defeating the Tasmanian Devils by 14 points at DSV Stadium to kick off Round 10 and move into second place on the ladder.

As the 2026 VFLW season reaches its midway point, Williamstown has firmly established themselves as one of the competition’s most consistent and competitive sides.

It was a thrilling back-and-forth contest at Blacktown International Sportspark on a Saturday afternoon, with neither side able to be separated after four quarters as Williamstown earned a hard-fought draw.

The latest addition to the archives of the Williamstown Football Club is an extremely rare 1907 premiership medallion awarded to the Club's president of the time, Robert 'Bob' Ferguson, by the VFA.
